Most people think
Birds are so free
flying to and fro
in their Natural
beauty
Far away
birds are wonderful
creatures
up close
they're terrible pests
trying to rip your
eyes out
they're dirty, diseased
pigeons
they're those stupid little
brown birds
that can't walk, so
they have to hop
they're nasty Scavengers
who need to be
exterminated...
Yet step a few more
feet back and
Oh! They're so wonderfully
               free.
